Context & Mission

The main mission of this position is a) to enable an inclusive and participatory membership, and the further development of an associative dynamic in Switzerland, neighboring France and the German-speaking frontier regions and b) to develop & implement HR marketing activities with a specific focus on Switzerland to support OCG sourcing efforts.

These two roles have been found to have synergies while combined, that is why the position is open as such.

The main objectives are :

  • Developing the feeling of ownership/belonging to MSF while stimulating engagement and encouraging participation of the associative membership
  • Rooting MSF social mission in home society in collaboration with the executive
  • In collaboration with field recruitment & HR Marketing team, identifying and mobilizing appropriate recruitment sources for needed field profiles

Your responsibility

Associative Network Officer

Rolling out overall MSF-CH engagement strategy targeted within Switzerland, neighboring France and the German-speaking frontier regions including:

  • Creating spaces for debate/mobilization on key topics of importance to the association (ex: MSF We Want to Be, Planetary Health, CAME related topics, Safe Abortion Care, etc.)
  • Identify and develop synergies with the different MSF-CH/OCG executive departments which would allow MSFers in Switzerland, neighboring France and the German-speaking frontier regions to take part in debates and support other MSF activities (communication & fundraising campaigns, HR recruitment events, etc.)
  • Engaging with returning international staff residing in Switzerland and neighboring France in order to activate engagement & participation in the associative life

Description of main activities for HR Marketing Officer

  • Boosting MSF employer branding activities (videos, presentations, etc.) for HR marketing purposes
  • Delivers face-to-face and/or online information sessions to potential candidates on a regular basis, for general population and for specific profiles
  • Ensures reporting of information sessions/online webinars and analyzes satisfaction surveys to improve future sessions
  • With the Geneva HR Marketing Officer coordinates the attendance of recruiters, associative members, technical referents and/or expatriates to HR Marketing events (forums, presentations, information sessions, etc.)

Your Profile


  • Minimum 2 years professional experience
  • MSF/Medical Humanitarian experience and understanding of MSF social values
  • Working experience with MSF, in the field
  • Social engagement and community mobilisation preferably with other associations
  • Project management experience
  • Event management experience

Education & skills

  • University degree or similar qualification
  • Human Resources and/or HR Marketing Diploma, Communication, or similar an asset


  • Oral and written mastering of English and German required (Swiss German an asset)
  • Oral and written mastering of French an asset

Terms of Employment

  • Open-ended contract, 100%
  • Working place : Zürich, with regular trips to the Geneva office and other destinations in Switzerland
  • Ideal Starting date: 15.11.2021
  • Gross annual salary: from CHF 83’808.- to CHF 96’492.- (salary commensurate with experience and internal salary grid)
